Threatening or harassing behavior is not tolerated within Buy Nothing communities. Maintaining a safe and respectful environment is a priority.

Buy Nothing’s Position on Safety

The Buy Nothing Project investigates all reports of misconduct. Accounts may be restricted or removed when behavior violates the Community Commitment or Terms of Service.

What to Do

Report the Behavior in the App

If threatening or harassing behavior occurs, it should be reported using the in-app reporting tools. Reporting allows the issue to be reviewed and appropriate action to be taken.

Immediate Safety Concerns

If there is an immediate risk of harm, a credible threat, or a belief that a crime has been committed, contact local emergency services or law enforcement right away.

Buy Nothing support is not a substitute for emergency assistance.

How Reports Are Handled
