How do I join a Buy Nothing group?
Joining the Buy Nothing project is easy, and you have two main ways to participate: through the Buy Nothing App or a local Facebook group.
1. Join via the Buy Nothing App
The app offers the most flexibility for sharing with your neighbors.
- No specific group required: You can start sharing immediately with people nearby based on your location.
- Private Communities: You also have the option to join or create private sharing communities for specific groups (like a neighborhood, workplace or apartment building).
2. Join via Facebook
Many communities host local Buy Nothing groups on Facebook. To ensure you are joining an official group:
- Create a Buy Nothing account on our website or app.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Registered Buy Nothing Groups to view a curated list of official Facebook groups by location.
