How to Find a Group

• Search by Location: Visit the Buy Nothing website, sign in, and navigate to the Registered Groups list in your Settings. You can enter your address to find registered groups in your area in list form or on a map.
• Facebook Search: Go to Facebook and search for "Buy Nothing" followed by the name of your specific neighborhood, town, or city.

How to Join

• Request Access: Once you find the correct group for your neighborhood, click the "Join Group" button.
• Answer Membership Questions: Most groups will ask a few short questions (such as your general location) to verify you live within the group's boundaries.
• Join One Group: To maintain the hyper-local spirit of the project, members are asked to participate in only one local Buy Nothing group at a time.

An Alternative: The Buy Nothing App

If you prefer to participate outside of Facebook, we recommend downloading the BuyNothing app (available for iOS and Android), where you can join immediately, or join Private Communities.
