How do I cancel my subscription?

Managing your Paid Subscription is simple and can be done directly through your account settings. Depending on how you originally signed up, you will be directed to either the Stripe billing portal or your device's app store to finalize the change.


How to Cancel Your Subscription with Stripe

Follow these steps to access your billing settings:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Find Subscription Settings
  3. Manage in Stripe: You will be redirected to our secure web app subscription page on Stripe.
  4. Confirm Cancellation: Within the Stripe portal, select your active plan and follow the prompts to Cancel plan.

How to Cancel Your Subscription in the App Stores

Google Play Store (Android)

  1. Open the Google Play app on your device.
  2. Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap "Payments & subscriptions" and then select "Subscriptions".
  4. Find the Buy Nothing subscription in the list and tap it.
  5. Tap "Cancel subscription" and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm.

Apple App Store (iPhone)

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the very top of the menu.
  3. Tap "Subscriptions" to see your active plans.
  4. Select "The Buy Nothing Project" from the list.
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription" and confirm.

Important Things to Know

  • Continued Access: Your membership benefits will remain active for any remaining days in your current billing cycle even after you cancel.
  • Refund Policy: Subscriptions are non-refundable; no credits or refunds are issued for partial billing cycles.
