How to Start Posting in BuyNothing

Overview

Posting is how participants give, ask, and express gratitude within Buy Nothing communities. There are three types of posts available: Give, Ask, and Gratitude.

Types of Posts

Give

Offer an item or service to neighbors.

Ask

Request an item or help that is needed.

Gratitude

Thank neighbors or share appreciation for completed exchanges or community support.

How to Create a Post

To create a post in the Buy Nothing app, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Share (+) button at the bottom center of the screen
  2. Select the type of post to create: Give, Ask, or Gratitude
  3. Tap What… to enter the post text
  4. Tap the camera icon to add photos (optional)
  5. Tap Post to share with the community

Additional Support

If questions or assistance are needed:

  1. Open the Help menu in the app
  2. Tap Contact to reach the Support Team
